As a firm, we have achieved long-term success in the financial community. This has come about through our commitment to excellence in practice and our concern for the financial and economic condition of our clientele. The firm began operations in 1959, and from that time through the present, has strived to maintain a very high level of quality, dedication, and service to our clientele. The rapidly changing financial environment has placed many demands upon the profession as a whole. We have strived to meet those demands through our expansion of knowledge in the areas of auditing and accounting, tax, and management advisory services. We have also had to change our traditional thinking in regard to tax laws in that time must be spent in planning tax consequences in order to minimize the tax liabilities that our clientele could incur. We have strived to remain abreast and knowledgeable about those changes. The firm takes pride in offering services in not only the tax and audit areas but also all other areas. It is our belief that we have addressed those challenges. We are continually striving to reach our goals regarding professional competence in technical ability and, hopefully, can convey this to you through the proper planning and work that is required. FIRM PHILOSOPHY The ultimate goal of the firm is to provide our clientele with the highest quality professional services they can obtain. We work actively and continuously for excellence of performance and higher levels of service, which adhere to professional standards and command the respect of our colleagues. In order to obtain this goal, we believe a program of continuing education for all people in the firm is an absolute necessity. Accordingly, our firm provides a great deal of information in all areas of our profession for the use of all our staff and more importantly for the benefit of our clientele. FIRM PROFILE rfarmer, llc is a full service firm, which was established in 1959 and has operated on a continuous basis to the present date. The founding father, A. Marvin Strait, went on to become Chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in 1988-89. The professionalism Marvin Strait brought to the firm has carried through from the time he started the practice to the present day. The firm presently operates as a limited partnership. Our size allows us the opportunity to develop areas of expertise, thus providing a higher level of service to our many varied clienteles. One of the requirements set by professional standards is a review of the accounting and auditing practice of a firm. This review is called a Peer Review, which is required tri annually. We recently completed our seventh Peer Review for which we received an unqualified opinion as we did for all others. Our peer review report is available upon request and is provided to all new audit clients. By submitting to the Peer Review process, we meet the requirements to do governmental audits under the Governmental Auditing Standards and the Single Audit Act of 1996. In addition to the Peer Review process, the professionals with rfarmer, llc take eighty hours or more of continuing professional education every two years with a minimum of twenty-four hours relating directly to governmental and/or not-for-profit auditing and/or accounting. We also operate under a Quality Control Document, which requires that we document the quality of service that we provide for our clients in four very comprehensive areas and submit ourselves to annual inspections and the tri annual Peer Review. We feel that the Quality Control Document provides an additional standard that we can adhere to, thus not only providing the firm with the qualities necessary to meet the requirements of the AICPA, but also maintaining a quality that is important for our clientele.
