Treasurer’s Office
To-Do List
12/31/09

  1. Copies of both Semi-annual reports, June 30 and December 31 for the year being audited.
  2. Treasurers Fund Ledger from 1/1/09 thru 12/31/09 for each fund. Please do not make a copy of the ledger. I will use your copy and/or make a copy of what I need.
  3. Supplemental Detail from 1/1/09 through 12/31/09. This shows property added (omitted) to the tax roll during 2009.
  4. Adjustment Detail from 1/1/09 through 12/31/09. This shows amounts changed or removed from the 2009 tax roll.
  5. Posted Unpaid Payment Report as of 12/31/09. Please run for all open years.
  6. SO Tax Distribution Report for the year being audit for the allocation of SO, class A and F taxes.
  7. Year-end Summary for the year being audited. This is a listing or report of where all of your money is being invested and should tie to the semi-annual report at year-end.
  8. Bank statements and reconciliations for all accounts, checking and savings. If we need to make any copies, we will make them.
  9. Listing of County Investments as of year-end. We will be confirming the CD’s and other investments, so please furnish us the information to draft confirmations to each financial institution. We will need the addresses of the financial institutions, the account or investment numbers, and balances as of year-end per your records. You can email the information to us at rfarmer@farmercpas.com or mail the information to us. If you email us the information, please mail us your letterhead so we can put the requested information on your letterhead. Remember; do not mail the confirmations yourself to the bank. The auditor has to do that part.
  10. List of abatements that are sent to the State in August 2009 and the abatements that occurred through year-end. Please also run this report from August 1 – December 31, 2009
  11. Public Trustee bank statements and foreclosure information. I will need a copy of the Quarterly and annual reports for commissioners.

Please do not make copies unless specifically requested. I am trying to decrease the amount of paper and save a tree or two in the process.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
